Q: First of all, greetings on your election to the LCCI Executive Committee. How do you to be entrusted with this significant responsibility?

Ali Imran: Thank you! I am deeply honored and thankful to PIAF Chairman Mian Anjum Nisar and the whole Lahore business community for placing their trust in me. Their confidence inspires me to work even harder to uplift the business environment in Lahore. It is a humbling experience, and I assure you that I will do my best to live up to their expectations.

Q: The economic situation in Pakistan has been a top concern lately. How do you think the current conditions, and what role do you believe the government should play in fostering the economy?

Ali Imran: There are no doubt the country’s economic conditions are critical. We are watching rising inflation, energy shortages, and a shrinking industrial base. The government must take immediate and concrete measures to stabilize the economy. This needs a cohesive strategy, focusing on boosting trade, industrial growth, and ensuring a business-friendly environment. Without a powerful economy, it’s difficult for any country to excel, and this is something the government cannot overlook any longer.

Q: As an LCCI EC member, what are your priorities for the business community in Lahore?

Ali Imran: My primary goal is to be accessible to the business community. I ask all traders and industrialists in Lahore to approach me with their concerns, suggestions, and feedback. I wasn’t elected to represent just one sector; my focus is on the entire business ecosystem of Lahore. My motive is to create a platform where the business community feels heard, and their issues are addressed swiftly. Together, we can find long-term solutions and work toward the collective progress of Lahore’s businesses.

Q: You said you want to bring about major change for the business community. Can you elaborate on the specific areas you will focus on?

Ali Imran: One of my key objectives is to make sure the immunisation of the business community against the various external pressures that are slowing down our progress. By immunisation, I mean protecting them from the negative results of fluctuating government strategies bureaucratic hurdles, and economic instability. I want to help the business community in a way that permit them to thrive regardless of external factors. There is a big difference I want to make, and I will dedicate myself to ensuring that our traders and industrialists have the right environment to grow and succeed.

Q: What message would you like to send to the Lahore business people as you begin this journey?

Ali Imran: My message is simple: I am here for you. Together, we can shape the future of Lahore’s business landscape. I encourage every member of the business community to share their concerns and ideas with me. We require to work together to overcome the challenges we face. I am confident that by uniting, we can make Lahore a thriving hub for trade and industry once again.

Q: Lastly, how do you plan to collaborate with other key stakeholders in the business fraternity and government to ensure positive result for Lahore’s economy?

Ali Imran: Collaboration is key to making real progress. I intend to maintain strong powerful ties with the government, policymakers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the needs of our businesses are considered in every decision. I believe through dialogue and cooperative efforts, we can enforce reforms which will benefit the whole business community and, ultimately, the country’s economy.

Q: Thank you for sharing your insights, Imran. We look forward to seeing the positive changes you bring to the Lahore business community.

Ali Imran: Thank you. I appreciate the opportunity to express my vision, and I look forward to working closely with everyone to bring about real, lasting change.
