LAHORE: Police have registered a criminal case against four traffic wardens in Lahore for allegedly assaulting and torturing an official of the Airport Security Force (ASF).
According to police sources, the FIR has been registered at Bhati Gate police station. The complaint states that the incident occurred on December 4 following an altercation, during which traffic wardens allegedly attacked the ASF official after he took out his mobile phone.

As per the FIR, the ASF official was taken to the traffic wardens’ office, where he was reportedly subjected to severe physical abuse and manhandling. The document further claims that two additional traffic wardens later joined in the assault.
The complaint alleges that the victim lost consciousness as a result of the violence, during which the accused wardens allegedly removed Rs120,000 in cash from his pocket. It also states that the ASF official’s identity card, mobile phone, and ASF force card were subsequently recovered from the wardens with the assistance of ASF personnel.
Police officials said investigations are ongoing, and further legal action will be taken in line with the findings of the inquiry.
