The inaugural ceremony was graced by key figures including Muhammad Arif, Group Leader Chakwal Chamber; Kashif Khokhar, President Kasur Chamber; Junaid Hasnain, Vice President; Sajjad Ali, General Secretary; Zaki Ijaz, Vice President FPCCI; Malik Muhammad Shabbir, President Tala King Chamber; Malik Nadeem Akhtar, Former President Small Trade and Industries Chamber Islamabad; Rana Javed Akhtar, Vice Chairman Mines Owners Association Pakistan; Raja Imtiaz Abbasi, President Murree Chamber; Manzoor-ul-Haq Malik, Group Head Sheikhupura Chamber; Abdul Rauf Mukhtar, Group Leader Rahim Yar Khan Chamber; Hafiz Bilal Amin Shah; and Mian Zahid Iqbal.

In a significant development, President Sardar Mian Nadeem Jalandhar announced his decision to formally join the United Business Group along with his colleagues.

Addressing the gathering, the speakers emphasized that Nankana Sahib, being the holiest site for Sikhs globally, attracts pilgrims and tourists throughout the year. Establishing a Chamber of Commerce in such a spiritually and culturally significant city, which achieved district status in 2005, was a long-standing need.

They expressed hope that the Nankana Sahib Chamber would evolve into one of the country’s most effective business institutions. Speakers also highlighted the United Business Group’s achievements, including successfully pushing for the reduction of the interest rate to 11 percent. They criticized the mismanagement of billions in power generation contracts and reaffirmed their commitment to continue fighting for the rights of the business community. The aim, they asserted, is to further reduce interest rates and transform Pakistan into an “Asian Tiger” within the next five years.

The leaders further stated that the Chamber would help expand economic activities across the district and generate employment. The platform is also expected to facilitate the promotion of local products—such as rice and milk—on national and international platforms.

At the conclusion of the event, commemorative shields were presented to the guests in recognition of their participation and contributions. Later, the business leaders visited the historic Gurdwara Janm Asthan, the birthplace of Baba Guru Nanak, and praised the Government of Pakistan for its remarkable upkeep and beautification of the sacred site.
