The delegation included 55 officers of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) and two faculty members. The objective of the visit was to acquaint the officers with the modern systems of security, intelligence, and smart city management. Managing Director PSCA Muhammad Ahsan Younas welcomed the delegation and gave a detailed briefing on the Authority’s operations, ongoing projects, and future goals. He explained how the Safe Cities Project is utilizing cutting-edge technology, information systems, and artificial intelligence to ensure the safety and security of citizens. Officers visited the Operations Control Center where they observed the real-time surveillance process being carried out through a network of city-wide cameras. They were informed that the control room operates round the clock to aid in crime prevention, traffic management, and emergency response. The delegation was also briefed on the Intelligent Traffic Management System and the electronic challan (e-ticketing) system. Additionally, they reviewed the digital infrastructure of the Virtual Women Police Station, Child Safety Center, and the Blood Bank. During the briefing, it was highlighted that comprehensive and foolproof security arrangements have been ensured during Muharram-ul-Haram using advanced surveillance cameras and technology. It was further informed that the PSCA is now expanding its scope to the tehsil level, with the aim of making all urban areas of Punjab safer and more secure.

The officers highly appreciated the modern systems in place and remarked that, due to the Safe Cities initiative, urban centers across Punjab have become significantly safer, more peaceful, and better organized. They emphasized that the Authority’s modern infrastructure and effective use of artificial intelligence have brought the system up to international standards, making it a model for other provinces to follow.
