LOS ANGELES (Web Desk): American television personality Tyra Banks has filed legal action against Netflix, alleging that the streaming giant’s docuseries *Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model* portrayed her unfairly and damaged her reputation.
According to court documents cited by *People* magazine, the 52-year-old claimed she suffered significant emotional distress after watching the series, arguing that it presented a misleading version of events.
Tyra alleged that only a small portion of her extensive interview was included in the documentary, while the remaining content was edited in a manner that altered the intended meaning of her remarks. She said that approximately 16 minutes from a much longer conversation were selected and assembled to create a narrative that did not accurately reflect her statements.
The former *America’s Next Top Model* host maintained that the editing made it appear as though she had said or done things that were inconsistent with reality. She further argued that the series misrepresented her involvement in several serious incidents linked to the long-running reality show.
In her legal filing, Tyra insisted that she had addressed concerns appropriately at the time and that crucial parts of her explanations were omitted from the final production. She also stated that she took action behind the scenes whenever issues were raised during the show’s production process.
