LAHORE – SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed chaired the Change of Investigation First Board meeting at the Investigation Headquarters to ensure timely justice and merit-based inquiries.
All divisional SPs attended the session, where 40 high-profile cases including murder, kidnapping, cheque dishonor, breach of trust, fraud, theft, and robbery were reviewed.
According to police sources, complainants Niamat Ali, Sarfraz Ahmed, and Tariq Javed appeared in murder cases, while Muhammad Yaseen and Shahbaz Anwar requested changes in investigation for breach of trust cases. Similarly, complainants Shabana Bibi and Naziran Bibi sought fair probe in cheque dishonor cases, while Muhammad Rizwan raised concerns over fraud investigation. In addition, Tahir Ali and Ehsan Ashraf presented applications in theft cases.
After listening to both parties, officers issued directives regarding changes in investigations.
The SSP issued show-cause notices and warnings to multiple officers accused of misuse of authority or failing to conduct inquiries on merit.
“Public complaints must be addressed without delay, and fair justice will be ensured at every cost,” SSP Naveed said.
He further emphasized that cases involving women and children are being decided on an emergency basis and directed officers to provide immediate relief to victims.
SSP Naveed assured citizens that they may visit his office anytime for redressal of grievances.
