LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana chaired a performance review meeting of the Iqbal Town and Sadar police divisions at the Capital City Police Headquarters.

The meeting entailed a comprehensive assessment of both the divisions’ performance and other operational matters.
Expressing satisfaction over crime control efforts, the CCPO directed that departmental coordination with the Crime Control Division (CCD) be further strengthened to promote peace and security in the metropolis.
He directed that foolproof security arrangements be ensured for the South Africa–Pakistan Women’s Cricket Series.
Addressing the meeting, Bilal Siddique Kamyana stressed the importance of treating visitors to police offices with respect. He reiterated that public dealing is a priority and made it clear that no complaints in this regard would be tolerated. Officers were further directed to keep complainants informed in a timely manner in the event of their unavailability due some engagements.
The CCPO added that all complaints received via the Chief Minister’s Portal, 1787 Helpline, Front Desks, and the Police Emergency Helpline 15 be addressed within the prescribed time frame.
He also directed the Investigation Wing to ensure the timely submission of challans in pending cases and called upon officers to play a proactive role in ensuring swift and fair justice. Police stations, he added, must serve as symbols of public safety and relief.
The meeting was attended by DIG (Admin) Imran Kishwar, DIG (Investigation) Zeeshan Raza, DIG (Operations) Faisal Kamran, SSP (Investigation) Muhammad Naveed, SSP (VVIP Security) Tariq Aziz, SPs, ASPs, circle officers, SHOs and investigation in-charges of Iqbal Town and Sadar divisions.
