CHANDIGARH (Web Desk) – A rare public appearance by late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala’s younger brother, Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, has captured widespread attention, with fans flooding social media with heartfelt messages and tributes to the family during a special film screening in Punjab.

Shubhdeep attended the screening of the Punjabi film Kankaan De Ohle alongside his parents, Balkaur Singh and Charan Kaur. Videos circulating online showed the young boy walking hand in hand with his mother as the family arrived at the venue, drawing an emotional response from fans of the late singer.

Dressed in an off-white shirt, beige trousers and a matching turban, Shubhdeep became the centre of attention as photographers and fans gathered to welcome the family. His appearance quickly went viral across social media platforms, where supporters shared clips and photographs accompanied by emotional messages.

Many users affectionately referred to the youngster as “Chota Sidhu” and “Shubi,” saying they saw glimpses of the late singer in his younger brother. Thousands of comments expressing prayers, blessings and admiration appeared within hours of the videos being shared online.

Fans described the appearance as a heartwarming moment for the family, which has largely stayed away from public events since the tragic death of Sidhu Moose Wala in 2022. Several supporters said seeing the family smiling together offered hope after years of grief.

Social media platforms were filled with emotional reactions. Many users posted heart emojis and messages wishing Shubhdeep a bright future, while others prayed for the family’s happiness and peace. Several fans commented that the child had inherited the late singer’s confidence and charm.

Shubhdeep has remained away from the public spotlight for most of his life. His parents first introduced him to Sidhu Moose Wala’s followers in November 2025 by sharing his photograph and a family video on social media. Since then, every update related to the child has generated significant public interest.

Supporters believe the family’s occasional public appearances have become meaningful moments for those who continue to remember the late Punjabi music icon. Many fans consider Shubhdeep a symbol of hope for the family following the immense loss they suffered.

Sidhu Moose Wala, whose real name was Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, was among the most influential artists in Punjabi music. His songs gained international popularity for their distinctive style, powerful lyrics and connection with Punjabi culture.

The singer was shot dead on May 29, 2022, in Punjab’s Mansa district, an incident that shocked the music industry and triggered widespread grief among millions of fans across the world. Even years after his death, his music continues to attract millions of listeners on streaming platforms.

His family has remained active in preserving his legacy through public events, tributes and legal efforts related to the investigation into his killing. Balkaur Singh has frequently spoken about seeking justice while thanking fans for their continued support.

Entertainment analysts say Sidhu Moose Wala’s popularity has remained remarkably strong despite the passage of time. His songs continue to achieve high streaming figures, while his influence on Punjabi music remains significant.

The screening of Kankaan De Ohle became more than a promotional event as attention shifted toward the emotional presence of Moose Wala’s family. Attendees welcomed the family warmly, and several people were seen interacting respectfully with them during the event.

Observers noted that the family’s dignified appearance reflected their efforts to gradually return to selected public events while maintaining privacy. They have generally limited public appearances and avoided extensive media interaction.

Fans from India, Pakistan, Canada, the United Kingdom and other countries shared the videos widely, demonstrating the late singer’s enduring global fan base. Many expressed hope that Shubhdeep would continue to receive love and protection from supporters around the world.

Although the family has not made any public statement regarding the event, the overwhelming response on social media once again highlighted the lasting emotional connection between Sidhu Moose Wala’s supporters and his loved ones.

The rare appearance served as a reminder of the singer’s enduring legacy, with fans continuing to celebrate his life, music and memories while extending affection and prayers to his family, especially young Shubhdeep, whose brief public moments continue to resonate deeply with admirers across the Punjabi community.
