PAKPATTAN: Secretary / Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab, Dr. Ehsan Bhutta, has stated that the shrine of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Ganjshakar (RA) is not only a symbol of spiritual enlightenment but also a priceless heritage of Islamic culture and Sufi traditions. He emphasized that providing better facilities to devotees and preserving the sanctity and historical significance of Sufi shrines across Punjab is among the top priorities of the Punjab government.

Dr. Ehsan Bhutta expressed these views during his visit to the shrine of Hazrat Baba Farid Ganjshakar (RA) in Pakpattan. He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Pakpattan Asif Raza, Administrator Auqaf Zia-ur-Rehman, Director Projects Auqaf Mr. Rafiq Noor Wattoo, and other concerned officers.
During the visit, the Executive Engineer (XEN) of Communication & Works Department briefed the Secretary in detail about the ongoing development and renovation works at the shrine. Dr. Ehsan Bhutta inspected various sections of the shrine, reviewed the pace and quality of the work, and issued necessary directions to ensure timely completion while maintaining the architectural and spiritual integrity of the holy site.
The Secretary / Chief Administrator Auqaf directed the C&W Department to complete the construction and beautification work of the main gate and its surrounding area by 28th February, stressing that no compromise would be tolerated on quality standards.
He was further informed that the Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) will complete the marble fitting inside the shrine and the calligraphy work at the Mouj-e-Darya shrine by 28th February, as per the approved timeline.
Dr. Ehsan Bhutta also offered Fateha and special prayers at the shrine for the prosperity, peace, and stability of the country, as well as for national unity and harmony.
He reiterated that Sufi shrines serve as centers of love, tolerance, and interfaith harmony, and their preservation is a collective responsibility to pass this spiritual legacy on to future generations.
