Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister of Punjab for introducing the province’s first child protection policy, calling it a major step toward safeguarding the future generation. She emphasized that protecting children requires collective effort, noting that a mentally healthy society ensures safer, stronger children.

Speaking at a special ceremony held in the old Punjab Assembly building to mark World Children’s Day, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that saving a child from psychological distress reflects the moral consciousness of society. She added that the Child Protection Bureau is not only rescuing vulnerable children but also focusing on their long-term rehabilitation.
She said Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz considers social reform her top priority and is running targeted programs to improve children’s health, education and nutrition across Punjab.
Chairperson Child Protection Bureau Sarah Ahmed said her department is working tirelessly for children’s welfare. Under the directives of CM Maryam Nawaz, she added, children are being protected and provided proper education and character-building opportunities.
