LAHORE: Declaring Data Darbar a beacon of spiritual enlightenment and a timeless symbol of Punjab’s Sufi heritage, Senior Member Board of Revenue Punjab Nabeel Javed reaffirmed the Punjab Govt’s unwavering commitment to preserving the sanctity of the shrine while further improving facilities for devotees through carefully planned development initiatives.

He expressed these views while chairing a high-level meeting to review the ongoing uplift works at the shrine of Ali Hijveri (RA). Secretary/Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab Dr. Ehsan Bhutta presented a comprehensive briefing on infrastructure improvements, beautification measures, and enhanced public amenities, stating that the designs of calligraphy comprising Qur’anic Ayats, Hadiths, and selected poetic verses to be inscribed at the shrine were also reviewed in detail to ensure authenticity, aesthetic excellence, and spiritual reverence.
The meeting was attended by Director General Religious Affairs Auqaf Shahid Kalyani, Khateeb Mosque Data Ganj Bakhsh Maulana Ramzan Sialvi, Principal Hajveria Madrassa Muhammad Razaq, Director Madina Foundation Aslam Tareen, NESPAK Representative Adil Nazeer, Director Projects Auqaf Rafiq Watoo, Calligrapher Irfan Qureshi and other concerned officials. In his concluding remarks, Dr. Ehsan Bhutta highlighted that Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) is not only a revered Sufi saint but also a great scholar and author whose teachings of love, tolerance, and unity continue to inspire generations.
He emphasized that all development works are being undertaken with utmost respect to the shrine’s historical, religious, and architectural significance so that its spiritual legacy remains preserved for future generations.
