LAHORE: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) 3 of the Punjab Assembly, chaired by Ahmed Iqbal Chaudhry, held a meeting to review audit findings for the 2021-22 fiscal year concerning the District Health Authorities of Sialkot and Nankana Sahib.

During the session, the committee examined 21 audit paragraphs highlighting irregularities such as the appointment of junior technicians and vaccinators without prescribed qualifications, illegal upgradation of computer operators, unauthorized time scale promotions, and unauthorized changes in cadre.
After detailed deliberation, the committee referred two audit paragraphs to the administrative department for further investigation. Seven paragraphs were disposed of, while the remaining cases were deferred for additional review.
The PAC emphasized the need for strict adherence to rules and regulations within health departments to ensure accountability and transparency in public service operations.
