Provincial Minister for Law attends ceremony held in honor of Sikh community

LAHORE, November 12: A grand ceremony was held at Hazuri Bagh, Lahore Fort in honor of Sikh pilgrims arriving from across the world. Punjab Minister for Law Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan attended the event as the chief guest.

The ceremony was attended by government officials, religious representatives, and a large number of Sikh pilgrims from India, the United Kingdom, Canada, and other countries.

In his address, Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan said that the arrival of Sikh pilgrims in Pakistan is a welcome gesture and a shining example of interfaith harmony. He said the Government of Punjab is providing all possible facilities for the religious and cultural festivals of the Sikh community so that they may perform their sacred rituals with complete freedom and respect.

The Minister stated that Pakistan is a home to followers of all faiths, including the Sikh community, adding that the religious gatherings of Sikh pilgrims reflect Pakistan’s spirit of tolerance, harmony, and peace. Rana Iqbal Khan further said that the message of peace and brotherhood given by Baba Guru Nanak Ji is revered across the world, and Pakistan is committed to upholding and promoting this message.

He emphasized that peace, tolerance, and harmony form the foundation of Pakistan’s bright future, and the Punjab government continues to take practical measures to strengthen interfaith harmony in society.

The Provincial Minister also welcomed the Sikh pilgrims to Pakistan and extended his best wishes, expressing confidence that they will return to their homelands with beautiful memories and a message of love and peace.
