LAHORE, October 26: The Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC) held its 27th Annual General Meeting (AGM), attended by representatives from relevant government departments and civil society organizations.

During the session, several key decisions were approved, including the election of a new Chairman of the Board of Directors, five new board members, and three new general body members for a three-year term.
Imad Iftikhar Malik was elected as the Chairman of the Board, while Syed Kamal Ali Haider, Qamar uz Zaman, Ali Tariq, and Zeeshan Ali Noorani were elected as civil society board members. Justice (R) Akbar Ali Qureshi, Mazhar Ali Khan, and Nabeel Iftikhar Ahmed joined as general body members.
The meeting also approved the annual budget, the appointment of auditors, and other important agenda items.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Imad Iftikhar Malik said, “Providing quality municipal services to citizens is our top priority.” He added that during the last fiscal year, PMDFC successfully completed projects in 16 cities, including sewerage, roads, water supply, and parks development.
Malik further stated that work on several ongoing municipal projects—such as sewerage and water supply schemes—is in full swing.
Managing Director Syed Zahid Aziz presented the annual performance report, informing participants that PC-1s for 52 cities have been prepared and approved under the vision of the Punjab Chief Minister. He added that World Bank-funded programs are also underway to improve sewerage and water supply infrastructure in 16 more cities.
