LAHORR: In a significant development ahead of the forthcoming elections of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI), Pioneers Businessmen Group (PBG), Founders Group, Lahore Business Front (LBF) and Nasir Hameed Khan Group have formally announced a united electoral alliance, reaffirming their collective commitment to restoring the strength, credibility and effectiveness of the Chamber.
The announcement was made during a joint press conference addressed by Chairman Alliance Mian Misbah ur Rehman, Chairman Founders Group Sheikh Ibrahim, Chairman Pioneers Businessmen Group Ali Hussam Asghar, Chairman Lahore Business Front Chaudhry Amjad, and Nasir Hameed Khan.
Addressing the media, the alliance leadership stated that this unprecedented unity represents the coming together of experienced leadership and a new generation of progressive business representatives, with a shared vision of serving the broader interests of the business community rather than any individual or group.
The leaders emphasised that Lahore Chamber has historically played a pivotal role in representing the concerns of trade and industry, contributing to economic policy, and advocating for a business-friendly environment. However, they noted that the Chamber’s influence and effectiveness have diminished in recent years, making it imperative for responsible stakeholders to unite for its revival.
“The time has come to restore the lost prestige and institutional strength of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Our objective is to rebuild the Chamber as an independent, credible and influential institution that truly represents every segment of the business community and serves as a strong and respected voice before the government and policy makers,” the alliance leaders stated.
The alliance reiterated its commitment to strengthening institutional governance, promoting transparency, merit, accountability and inclusiveness, while ensuring equal opportunities for businesses of all sizes, including SMEs, exporters, importers, manufacturers, traders, women entrepreneurs and young business leaders.
They further pledged to work towards addressing key challenges confronting the business community through constructive engagement with federal and provincial governments. The alliance intends to advocate for business-friendly economic policies, tax reforms, export promotion, industrial growth, ease of doing business and sustainable economic development.
Highlighting the spirit behind the alliance, the leaders said that unity, integrity, professionalism and service would remain the guiding principles of their collective endeavour. They stressed that the alliance was formed not to divide the business community, but to unite it under a common vision of institutional excellence and meaningful representation.
The alliance leadership called upon members of the Lahore Chamber to support this collective initiative, expressing confidence that the combination of experience, youthful energy and visionary leadership would usher in a new era for the Chamber.
Concluding the press conference, Chairman Alliance Mian Misbah ur Rehman, Chairman Founders Group Sheikh Ibrahim, Chairman Pioneers Businessmen Group Ali Hussam Asghar, Chairman Lahore Business Front Chaudhry Amjad and Nasir Hameed Khan reaffirmed their resolve to work together for the welfare of the business community and to restore the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry as one of Pakistan’s most respected, vibrant and influential business institutions.
