LAHORE: Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has said Pakistan has become the fifth most populous country in the world, where the shortage of resources and drinking water is on the rise.
“Until we develop this capacity, think and work together for a greater identity, no power can take us forward. If we compete with the world, we have failed in it. South Korea, China, Bangladesh or India were all behind us. One by one, everyone has come forward. The future of Pakistan will not be built by spreading stories and lies on TikTok, Facebook or social media, but with love. If we do not do this, history will give us a harsh verdict. We have to decide our direction. Should we not stop at a 3,000-meter race like this athlete in a 4,000-meter race, but run the last 1,000 meters fast?,” he said.
Ahsan Iqbal highlighted Pakistan had less time and resources, it can achieve the development of this country with hard work only.
“We have to bring new technology, be it green meter hill or green energy,” he added.
“Our universities have to play a key role. They should bring new experiences so that a revolution can take place. Shields were also distributed among the participants at the end of the ceremony,” he concluded.
