LAHORE,   03 December:
Provincial Minister for Law, Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, participated in the high-level conference held in connection with the launch of The Sustainable Development Goals Report 2025. Addressing the conference, he stated that although millions of lives have improved since 2015, the current pace of progress remains insufficient to achieve all SDGs by 2030. He emphasized that the remaining five years demand extraordinary commitment and accelerated global action.
Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan highlighted key achievements mentioned in the report, including expanded access to education, improved maternal and child health, significant reduction in infectious diseases, and rapid growth in renewable energy. He said these gains reflect that substantial transformation is possible with strong policies and effective international cooperation. The Minister praised the success stories cited in the report—such as universal electricity access in 45 countries and the elimination of neglected tropical diseases in 54 nations—stating that these examples demonstrate that accelerated development is achievable when strategy, resources, and political will align. Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan reiterated that collective efforts, strong partnerships, and sustained financial investment are crucial for realizing the 2030 Agenda. He reaffirmed Punjab’s commitment to sustainable, inclusive, and equitable development, underscoring that delivering the benefits of progress to every citizen remains a top priority of the government, ensuring that no one is left behind.
