Justice Farooq Haider of the Lahore High Court recused himself from hearing the bail case of YouTuber Saad Ur Rehman, also known as Ducky Bhai who was arrested in connection with promoting a gambling app.
Justice Farooq Haider has sent the case file to the Chief Justice to assign it to another bench.
During the hearing, officials from the NCCIA presented detailed records before the court. The petition names NCCIA and other authorities as respondents.
Advocate Imran Chadhar appeared in court on behalf of Saad Ur Rehman, who has filed a bail petition in the gambling app promotion case.
The petition states that the applicant was arrested by NCCIA at the airport while traveling abroad and was never summoned through a notice. It also mentions that “Ducky Bhai” remained in NCCIA custody for 10 days on physical remand.
