LAHORE: Senior Vice President (SVP) of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has expressed gratitude to the business community of Lahore for placing their trust and confidence in him, saying he would continue efforts to address their concerns and work for the betterment of traders and industrialists.
In a statement issued after the LCCI elections, the LCCI SVP thanked the traders, industrialists and business leaders for their support and said the confidence shown by the business community was a responsibility that he would try to fulfil with dedication and commitment.
He said he would make every possible effort to come up to the expectations of the Lahore business community and serve them to the best of his abilities.
“The trust and confidence of the business community is a great honour for me. I assure them that I will continue to work with sincerity and dedication and raise issues affecting traders and industrialists at every relevant forum,” he said.
The LCCI SVP said the chamber represented the voice of the business community and its leadership had a responsibility to highlight challenges faced by entrepreneurs, exporters, manufacturers and traders.
He said economic growth was closely linked with a business-friendly environment, adding that issues relating to taxation, energy costs, trade facilitation, industrial development and regulatory matters required continuous engagement with policymakers.
“The cause of traders and businessmen will remain my priority. I will continue to work for their rights and for the resolution of issues that affect their businesses and livelihoods,” he added.
The LCCI official also congratulated the newly elected office-bearers of the chamber and expressed hope that they would work collectively for the interests of the Lahore business community.
He said the strength of any chamber depended on unity, consultation and effective representation of its members.
“I expect the new office-bearers of the LCCI to work with dedication and take up the genuine issues of Lahore’s business community. They should make every effort to protect the interests of traders and industrialists and ensure that their voice is heard at all levels,” he said.
The SVP stressed that Lahore was one of the country’s major commercial and industrial centres and its business community played a vital role in economic activity, employment generation and investment.
He said creating a supportive environment for businesses would help increase production, exports and economic stability.
He further said that close coordination between the chamber, government institutions and private sector stakeholders was necessary to overcome economic challenges.
The LCCI SVP maintained that the chamber would continue to serve as a bridge between the business community and government authorities by presenting practical suggestions and advocating policies aimed at promoting trade and industry.
He thanked all members of the Lahore business community who supported him and said their encouragement would motivate him to continue working with greater responsibility.
He reiterated his commitment to dedicating his energies towards resolving business-related challenges and strengthening the role of the LCCI as an effective representative body of traders and industrialists.
The LCCI elections recently witnessed active participation from the business community, with candidates from different groups contesting for representation in the chamber. The newly elected leadership is expected to focus on economic issues, business facilitation and improving engagement between the private sector and government institutions.
