LAHORE: Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to ease tensions between the United States and Iran have been widely appreciated, with business leaders highlighting the country’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.

Firdous Nisar, Executive Board Member of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and District President of Lions Club International (305 N1), commended Pakistan’s successful engagement in facilitating dialogue aimed at securing a ceasefire between the two countries.
In her statement, she emphasized that Pakistan’s proactive diplomacy reflects its commitment to peacebuilding and conflict resolution in a region often marked by volatility. “Pakistan has played a constructive role in promoting peace and preventing further escalation in the region,” she noted.
She further stated that such initiatives underline the importance of dialogue and diplomatic channels in resolving international disputes, rather than resorting to confrontation. According to her, Pakistan’s balanced foreign policy and strategic positioning enable it to act as a bridge between global powers.
Firdous Nisar also stressed that sustained diplomatic engagement is essential for ensuring long-term peace, stability, and economic progress, not only for Pakistan but for the wider region. She urged the international community to support peaceful initiatives and prioritize negotiations over conflict.
