Lahore Police arrests 8,841 proclaimed offenders

LAHORE: The Lahore Police have arrested 8,841 proclaimed offenders, 14,154 court absconders, and 4,040 target offenders in various operations against lawbreakers this year.

This was stated by the Lahore Police spokesperson in a statement issued today. The spokesperson stated that during various operations against lawbreakers, the Cantonment Division arrested 1,887 Proclaimed Offenders(POs) 2,116 Court Absconders(CAs) and 632 Target Offenders(TOs).

In Civil Lines Division 722 POs, 1,722 CAs and 235 TOs were apprehended. The City Division detained 1,947 POs 3,431 CAs and 1,438 TOs. In Iqbal Town Division, 1,118 POs, 2,082 CAs and 610 TOs were arrested.

Similarly, in Saddar Division 1,654 POs, 2,397 CAs and 721 TOs were taken into custody. Model Town Division arrested1,513 POs, 2,406 CAs and 404 TOs.

Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana stated that criminal elements are a scourge on a society and deserve no leniency. He emphasized that indiscriminate operations against lawbreakers are ongoing.

The police are also utilizing various applications, including Smart Eye, Hotel Eye, and Tenant Registration to aid in launching indiscriminate operations against the offenders and criminal elements.
