LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana presided over an important meeting on law and order and security matters in his office today.
The meeting reviewed measures to ensure the safety of citizens and maintain law and order. The CCPO Lahore issued orders to heighten security at key locations and instructed police officers and personnel to remain alert. He directed supervisory officers to personally review the security arrangements at sensitive sites and increase patrolling at important and sensitive locations.
Bilal Siddique Kamyana emphasized the provision of drinking water, umbrellas and fans for personnel on security duty due to the intense weather conditions. He instructed that the health of officers performing security duties in extreme heat should be taken care of. He stated that maintaining peace and security in the provincial capital is a top priority.
The CCPO Lahore highlighted that capacity of the Lahore Police is being aligned with the demands of a professional fighting force through modern training. He also mentioned that advanced technology and human intelligence are being utilized extensively to prevent crime. Senior officers from all wings of the Lahore Police including Investigations, Operations and Organized Crime Unit attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, in the second phase of promotions within Lahore Police, as many as 72 C-II Constables have been promoted to the rank of Head Constable. In the first phase, 344 C-I Constables were promoted to Head Constable, earlier.
The Promotion Board reviewed 84 cases of promotion from Constable to Head Constable.
Capital City Police Officer Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana congratulated the promoted officials, stating that the promotion process for officers and personnel within Lahore Police is progressing rapidly in line with IG Dr. Usman Anwar’s police-friendly vision. He encouraged the newly promoted officers to embody competence, professionalism and public service.
Timely promotions lead to improved service delivery and better service to the citizens, he concluded.
