LAHORE:  Capital City Police Officer Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana has said that the Complaint Cell has become a symbol of growing trust between the public and the police, as citizens are receiving tangible relief through people-friendly initiatives of the department.

In a statement, he stated that prompt action was being taken on public complaints, while grievances of senior citizens, women and persons with disabilities were being addressed on a priority basis.

According to the Lahore Police spokesperson, a total of 296 applications have been received at the CCPO Office Complaint Cell in 2026. Of these, 111 complaints have been resolved, while action is under way on the remaining 185.

The spokesperson shared that 83 complainants personally approached the CCPO Office, and orders have been issued to resolve the issues of 31 individuals. Additionally, out of 213 applications received through postal mail, 80 cases have been disposed of, while proceedings on 133 complaints are in progress.

The CCPO directed police to adopt an open-door policy to ensure the swift delivery of justice to complainants. He also emphasized courteous behavior with citizens as a hallmark of policing, aimed at further strengthening public confidence and trust in the police force.
