LAHORE — Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, while addressing the parliamentary party at the Punjab Assembly Secretariat, said he came to Lahore to meet his party’s organizational members but claimed that police misbehaved with and arrested PTI workers at Chakri Interchange. He alleged that “fascism” continues against the party’s workers.

Afridi said what he called a “fake government” has been abusing PTI continuously. He claimed that the government was installed with only seventeen seats and questioned its legitimacy. He alleged that major industries are leaving Pakistan and that economic uncertainty has left the public insecure, stating that “the future has become dark.”

He further said that decisions are being made “behind closed doors” and the economy is declining, while banning meetings with PTI founder Imran Khan appears to be a priority. Afridi added that he has come to Lahore with “civility,” hoping to learn morality and democratic conduct.
