Alibaba.com New Power Award concludes in Hangzhou as Pakistan’s Impex Pakistan secures Global Top 20 position

KARACHI, Pakistan – December 23, 2025: Alibaba.com, a leading global B2B e-commerce platform, has announced the successful conclusion of the 2025 New Power Award in Hangzhou, China. A global platform recognizing pioneering sellers shaping the next wave of digital trade, the New Power Award identifies businesses that combine export performance, digital operational excellence, and innovative thinking.

Held on December 22, 2025, the 4th Grand Finale featured a competition between global finalists on four defining themes: team versus individual agility, scaling versus premium value, AI as a tool versus partner, and asset-light versus operational-heavy globalization.

Among this year’s Global Top 20 finalists is Impex Pakistan – the first Pakistani seller ever to reach this global stage. The company earned international recognition for its “AI Commander” approach, powered by AI-based tools that transformed its traditional Himalayan pink salt business into a high-efficiency export model.

Haider Ali, CEO of Impex Pakistan, delivered a compelling address, detailing how the company adopted a digital-first strategy on Alibaba.com, securing its first 20-foot container order within 23 days and expanding to 30+ export markets. As growth accelerated, Ali integrated Alibaba’s Smart Assistant to automate routine tasks and enable his small team to operate at a global scale.

“AI is an accelerator. What truly matters is your ability to command it,” Ali said. “Smart Assistant is the car. The entrepreneur is the driver. If I can turn this rock into a global light, then every small business in Pakistan can.”
