KARACHI (Web Desk) – Gold prices declined in Pakistan on Tuesday after weakness in the international bullion market pushed domestic rates lower, while silver prices continued to rise, according to the latest figures released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
The price of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs500 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs427,936. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also fell by Rs428, settling at Rs366,886 as local markets followed the trend in global bullion trading.
Internationally, gold prices slipped by $5 per ounce to $4,055, reducing the value of the precious metal in domestic markets where prices are largely determined by international rates and the rupee-dollar exchange rate.
Market analysts said the latest decline reflects normal fluctuations in the global bullion market, where investors continue to respond to changing economic indicators, monetary policy expectations and geopolitical developments.
Despite the decline in gold, silver prices moved higher in the domestic market. The price of 24-karat silver increased by Rs60 per tola, reaching Rs6,351, indicating continued investor interest in the metal.
