KARACHI (Web Desk) – Fresh digital and forensic evidence has surfaced in the investigation into the death of Mir Raza Ali Khan, with investigators examining mobile phone records, financial transactions and witness statements as they continue efforts to determine the circumstances surrounding the high-profile case.

Officials involved in the investigation said newly obtained mobile data indicates that Mir Raza had been experiencing significant financial difficulties in the days leading up to his death, opening another avenue of inquiry for the investigation team.

According to investigators, a message recovered from his mobile phone showed that on the night of July 28, Mir Raza contacted one of his friends requesting a loan of Rs30 million.

In the message, he reportedly stated that he was facing an urgent financial crisis and required immediate assistance.

Authorities are now examining whether the financial issues had any direct or indirect connection with the events that followed.

Investigators also reviewed communication records between Mir Raza and his fiancée.

The mobile data record showed that she sent multiple messages between approximately 3:10am and 3:50am, but none of the messages received a response.

Police officials believe the communication timeline may help establish the sequence of events before his death.

According to investigators, digital evidence also suggests that Mir Raza owed money to several individuals, prompting authorities to examine his financial dealings in greater detail.

Officials are attempting to identify whether any disputes related to financial obligations could have contributed to the incident.

The investigation team has collected call records, message histories and other electronic evidence from the victim’s mobile devices for forensic examination.

Authorities said specialists are analyzing the digital material to reconstruct Mir Raza’s movements and communications during his final hours.

Meanwhile, investigators are awaiting the complete forensic and medical examination reports before reaching any conclusions.

The preliminary postmortem examination identified a gunshot wound as the apparent cause of death.

However, members of Mir Raza’s family have challenged the initial findings, claiming they observed visible signs of torture and burn marks on his body.

The family has urged investigators to conduct a more comprehensive medical examination to determine whether additional injuries were sustained before death.

Officials confirmed that a fresh medical review could be carried out if formally requested under legal procedures.

Police said all available forensic evidence will be evaluated alongside witness testimony before determining the final cause and manner of death.

As part of the investigation, statements have been recorded from 15 individuals connected to different aspects of the case.

Among those questioned are the online taxi driver who reportedly transported Mir Raza and the individual who first alerted authorities after discovering the body.

Investigators said additional interviews may be conducted as new evidence emerges.

The Crime Scene Unit has also completed forensic examinations of locations believed to be connected with the incident.

Recovered evidence is undergoing laboratory analysis to determine its relevance to the investigation.

Officials emphasized that no possibility has been ruled out at this stage.

Police are examining whether the case involves suicide, homicide or any other criminal act, adding that all evidence is being reviewed impartially.

Senior investigators said the objective is to establish an accurate timeline based on scientific evidence rather than speculation.

Law enforcement authorities have appealed to the public to avoid spreading unverified information while the investigation remains in progress.

They stressed that premature conclusions could affect the inquiry and create unnecessary confusion.

The investigation continues under the supervision of senior police officials, who say digital evidence, forensic findings and witness accounts will collectively determine the direction of the case.

Authorities maintain that every aspect of Mir Raza Ali Khan’s death is being thoroughly examined and that further developments will be shared once the remaining forensic reports are received and all available evidence has been fully analyzed.
