Speaking to Geo News, Tarar said the ex-premier was first examined by eye specialists in jail, who recommended a short procedure at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad.
“On the recommendation of the doctors, he was taken to PIMS last Saturday night, where, after further examination and his written consent, a 20-minute procedure was performed,” Tarar explained.
The minister added that Imran Khan’s vitals remained stable throughout the procedure, and he was returned to Adiala Jail with important medical instructions. Tarar emphasized that all prisoners have access to medical care as needed, adding, “This is in accordance with jail rules, and he is absolutely healthy.”
