LAHORE (Web Desk) – A Lahore sessions court has fixed August 18 for the indictment of TikToker Rajab Butt and four other suspects in a case involving allegations of sexual assault and subsequent blackmailing of a social media influencer.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Zafaryab directed all five accused to appear before the court on the scheduled date as proceedings moved forward on a private complaint filed by the woman.
The complainant had approached the court in 2025, accusing the suspects of sexually assaulting her and later allegedly using the incident to blackmail her.
According to the complaint, the woman has submitted material that she says supports her allegations, including WhatsApp exchanges, a medical examination report and a statement recorded before a magistrate under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Butt and the other suspects have denied the allegations. They had previously obtained pre-arrest bail from a sessions court.
The case comes amid further legal troubles involving Butt. Last month, Nawab Town police registered another case against the TikToker and his associates over an alleged confrontation at a cafe in which several women were reportedly attacked and shots were allegedly fired.
The July case was also initiated on the complaint of the same woman who brought the earlier sexual assault allegations.
Butt has faced legal proceedings in several other matters in recent months, including cases concerning alleged offences relating to religious sentiments, online gambling promotion and physical altercations.
The August 18 hearing will determine the next formal stage of proceedings as the court considers the charges against the five suspects. The allegations remain contested, and the accused are presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a competent court.
