MISSISSAUGA (Web Desk) – Pakistani singer and actor Ali Zafar created history in Canada after performing before an estimated crowd of 45,000 people at an open-air concert in Mississauga, marking the largest musical gathering ever held at Celebration Square.
The concert served as the final stop of the North American leg of his Lights Tour 2026 and attracted fans from diverse South Asian communities, including Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. Families, young fans and elderly attendees came together to celebrate an evening of music and cultural unity.
Organisers described the free event as one of the biggest crowds ever witnessed in the city, with attendees spilling beyond the main venue into surrounding streets and nearby public areas due to the overwhelming turnout.
One of the evening’s standout moments came when Ali Zafar performed his hit song Jhoom, prompting thousands of fans to raise their mobile phone flashlights and transform the venue into a dazzling sea of lights.
Adding to the excitement, the singer stepped off the stage to interact directly with concertgoers, drawing thunderous applause and enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
