LAHORE: Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Mian Abuzar Shad has expressed gratitude to the Director General Trade Organizations (DGTO) for ruling in favor of the LCCI in an appeal challenging the chamber’s elections.

He said the DGTO declared the elections transparent, dismissing the objections raised by the opposing group.
In a joint press conference, Mian Abuzar Shad was joined by Senior Vice President Engineer Khalid Usman, Vice President Shahid Nazir Chaudhry, and former LCCI presidents Mian Anjum Nisar and Muhammad Ali Mian. Abuzar Shad termed the DGTO’s decision as a victory for democracy, emphasising the rejection of the defeated group’s appeal demonstrated the transparency of the electoral process.
