LAHORE: Lahore Police have announced comprehensive security arrangements for cattle markets, traders and buyers ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.

The spokesman for Lahore Police said this in a statement released today.

According to the spokesman, six designated cattle markets have been established by the district administration. These are located at Shahpur Kanjran, Burki Road near Paragon City, Sports Complex Adda Rakh Chabeel, LDA City Kahna Kachha, Haveli Markaz Sundar Road Raiwind and Mouza Nain Sukh Saggian Bridge.
Meanwhile, Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana stated that effective measures have been taken to protect traders and buyers from fraudsters, pickpockets and criminal elements. He directed supervisory officers to regularly monitor the security arrangements in their respective cattle markets.
The CCPO also emphasized the need for proper parking facilities around the markets and called for the deployment of additional staff to ensure smooth traffic flow in surrounding areas. He urged citizens to contact the local police or call Helpline 15 in case of any emergency.
