LAHORE: In the Punjab Assembly session, Opposition Leader Malik Ahmed Khan Bhachar said that the government is going to introduce the ؛ghundda؛ Act to bring back the British era, how can a DC declare someone a ghundda, the bills of 8 private universities were approved by a majority vote in the session.

The Punjab Assembly session began under the chairmanship of Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan, while giving answers regarding the Rescue 1122 department, Provincial Information Minister Uzma Bukhari said that the Chief Minister’s first priority is to serve the people through Rescue One One Two Two. Not all vehicles are broken, some vehicles are being repaired and some new vehicles will be purchased in the next budget.
In the meeting, Brigadier Mushtaq said that Uzma Bukhari should answer whether Nawaz Sharif was part of the National Security Council committee?
Several resolutions were unanimously passed in the meeting, including a resolution congratulating General Asim Munir on being made a Field Marshal. During the general discussion on law and order, Opposition Leader Malik Ahmed Khan Bhachar lashed out at the Goonda Act.
He said the government is going to introduce the Goonda Act. This act will bring back the British era. How can a DC declare someone a goonda? Such an act was in force during the British era in 1930. How can the Punjab government block someone’s card? NADRA is not under their control. You have declared us terrorists. Now you will enter the homes of ordinary citizens.
In the meeting, eight adjournment motions were postponed until the department responded. Bills for eight private universities were passed by a majority vote, while bills for two new private universities were presented in the house and handed over to the relevant committee.
Concluding the discussion on law and order in the meeting, Parliamentary Secretary Khalid Ranjha said that India had not caused as much damage as the damage caused on May 9. He said that the Goonda Act has not yet been introduced in the house. If it is introduced, it can be amended. Why are the PTI people considering the Goonda Act for themselves?
He said that the total number of elite force personnel is 9,998, out of which only 744 personnel are on protocol. While meeting Shah Mehmood Qureshi, an elderly woman was pushed and an inquiry will be conducted. To this, opposition member Junaid Afzal Sahi said that if 4,000 CCD personnel have to eliminate crime, then 2.5 lakh policemen should be eliminated. They are a burden on the people. After the agenda was completed, Panel of Chairperson Raja Shaukat Bhatti adjourns Punjab Assembly session indefinitely.
