LAHORE : On the special instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Virtual Centre for Child Safety established at the Punjab Safe Cities Authority has achieved another remarkable milestone. The center successfully reunited four abandoned children, who were residing at Edhi Center Lahore, with their families.

According to details, the children had gone missing from different areas and were unable to provide complete information about their homes due to memory loss or other challenges. The Safe City field team visited the Edhi Center and engaged with the children compassionately to extract useful information.
Among the reunited children was Ali Hassan, who had gone missing from the Chuhang area of Lahore and was found and returned to his family after three months. Another child, Azeem, who had disappeared from Thokar Niaz Baig, was safely handed over to his guardians after one month.
In another case, a mentally challenged child Ali Babar, found in Gulshan Ravi, was also successfully reunited with his parents through the efforts of the “Mera Pyara” team of the Safe City project. Additionally, Fakhar, a child who had lost his way while returning from a factory, was also traced and handed over to his family.
According to the PSCA spokesperson, the “Mera Pyara” team has so far facilitated the reunion of thousands of missing individuals with their loved ones. Citizens are strongly urged to report any information regarding missing or abandoned persons by calling the Emergency Helpline 15.
