Chairing a crime prevention meeting, the CCPO instructed police officers to conduct daily operations against pickpockets and use the Punjab Safe Cities Authority’s surveillance camera network to identify and arrest suspects.

He ordered officers to identify burglary hotspots and strengthen security through the installation of CCTV cameras and barriers at vulnerable locations. He also called for the deployment of security guards in urban areas and an effective thikri pehra (community night-watch) system in rural areas.

Kamyana said those involved in crimes against women would face strict legal action, stressing that their protection and the enforcement of the law must remain a priority.

He also directed police to initiate legal proceedings against individuals who submit false applications seeking the registration of criminal cases. He ordered the immediate arrest of proclaimed offenders and other wanted suspects.

The CCPO instructed supervisory officers to remain in their offices until late at night, closely monitor the city’s crime situation and conduct regular field visits. He also directed them to spend time at police stations to assess their performance.

Senior officers were further instructed to monitor subordinate staff and regularly evaluate the effectiveness of crime prevention measures.

DIG Administration Imran Kishwar, DIG Investigation Zeeshan Raza, DIG Operations Faisal Kamran, SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed, SSP Operations Abdullah Ahmad and divisional SPs attended the meeting.
