LONDON (Entertainment Desk ) – Pakistani singer Bilal Saeed has firmly denied social media rumours suggesting that he and fellow artist Aima Baig were under the influence of alcohol during the filming of a project in London, calling the claims false and misleading.
The controversy began after a video showing Bilal Saeed and Aima Baig interacting with fans and taking selfies on the streets of London gained widespread attention online. While many users appreciated the artists’ friendly engagement with fans, others questioned their appearance and made unverified claims about intoxication.
Responding through a video message shared on his social media accounts, Bilal Saeed said the allegations were based on assumptions rather than facts. He explained that the viral clip was recorded during the shooting of a music project in London and insisted that neither he nor Aima Baig had consumed alcohol.
The singer pointed out that both artists were holding coffee cups during the shoot and urged viewers to watch the video carefully before drawing conclusions. He questioned why people assumed they had been drinking simply because others nearby may have been consuming alcohol.
Bilal also criticised what he described as unnecessary character attacks on artists. He said false narratives spread quickly on social media and can damage reputations without any evidence.
Addressing criticism related to patriotism, Bilal Saeed said he has represented Pakistan through his music for many years and does not need lessons on how to uphold the country’s image. He added that he remains committed to promoting Pakistani music on international platforms.
The singer’s clarification has generated mixed reactions across social media. Many fans supported his response, arguing that online users should avoid making accusations without proof. Others, however, continued debating the viral footage and the public conduct of celebrities.
Neither Aima Baig nor the production team behind the London project has issued a separate statement regarding the controversy.
