KARACHI (Web Desk) – The Pakistani rupee posted a modest gain against the US dollar in the interbank market on Tuesday, extending a trend of relative stability in the foreign exchange market.
During the second trading session of the week, the US dollar shed 3 paisas against the local currency, closing at Rs278.37.
The latest movement followed Monday’s trading session, when the dollar settled at Rs278.40, indicating a slight appreciation in the value of the rupee.
Currency market observers said the change was minor but reflected steady conditions in the interbank market, where traders continue to monitor economic developments and foreign exchange inflows.
Analysts noted that the forex market remains sensitive to fluctuations in demand and broader macroeconomic factors, resulting in small movements in recent trading sessions.
Despite the limited change, the rupee’s gain added to signs of stability in the currency market as investors keep a close watch on financial and economic indicators.
