KARACHI (The Tribune International) – Gold and silver prices recorded a strong recovery in Pakistan on Tuesday, reflecting gains in both local and international bullion markets.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs2,830 per tola, pushing the rate to Rs455,063.
The price of 10 grams of gold also moved higher, rising by Rs2,547 to reach Rs389,534.
Silver followed a similar trend, with the price per tola climbing by Rs141 to settle at Rs7,314 in the domestic market.
The upward movement came a day after precious metals witnessed a notable decline. On Monday, the price of gold had dropped by Rs3,094 per tola to Rs452,233, while the rate for 10 grams fell by Rs2,785 to Rs386,987.
Silver prices had also weakened during the previous trading session, with the per tola rate falling by Rs94 to Rs7,173. The price of 10 grams of silver stood at Rs6,116.
Market analysts attributed the latest increase to positive trends in international bullion markets, which helped precious metals recover after the recent downturn.
