TOKYO (Web Desk) Pakistan booked their place in the semi-finals of the Under-18 Hockey Asia Cup 2026 after producing a commanding performance to defeat Bangladesh 5-2 in a crucial group-stage encounter in Japan.
The match, held in Kakamigahara, saw Pakistan take control early and maintain their dominance throughout the contest with an aggressive attacking approach and disciplined teamwork.
Abdullah starred for Pakistan with two goals, while Adeel, Asam and Muhammad Yahya each found the net to complete an emphatic victory. Bangladesh responded through Tirak Islam and Monna Islam, but their efforts were not enough to halt Pakistan’s momentum.
Pakistan’s attacking unit consistently troubled the opposition defence, creating numerous scoring opportunities and converting key chances at important stages of the match. The midfield also played a vital role in controlling possession, while the defence remained organised under pressure.
