LAHORE, APRIL 09 — Police in Lahore claim to have solved a major house theft in Lohari, arresting two women and recovering Rs5.9 million cash and 14 tolas of gold.

The breakthrough came after Syed Zeeshan Raza, Deputy Inspector General (Investigation), took notice of the high-value theft and directed a swift probe.

According to officials, a special team led by SP Investigation City Farhat Abbas was tasked with tracing the culprits and recovering the stolen property. Acting on intelligence, Incharge Investigation Lohari Gate Abbas-ul-Hassan, along with his team, conducted a targeted operation and arrested two key suspects linked to the “Shamo Chinghar Gang”.

Police said the arrested women allegedly broke into the house during the absence of the residents, stealing cash and jewellery worth millions. Both suspects are reportedly repeat offenders with multiple cases registered against them in various police stations.
