The fourth phase of the Pakistan-China joint naval exercise, Sea Guardian, has commenced, with the People’s Liberation Army Navy ship Daqing arriving to take part in the drills.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the Pakistan Navy extended a warm welcome to the visiting Chinese ship.
The exercise, running from March 25 to April 2, will feature gun firing, joint patrolling, and maritime security operations. It will include both harbor-based and at-sea activities, as well as seminars for young officers and expert exchanges.
According to the ISPR, Sea Guardian aims to strengthen naval cooperation, professional skills, and coordination between Pakistan and China.
The exercises reflect the countries’ joint commitment to regional peace and stability and are expected to reinforce bilateral strategic ties. They will also help promote a safe and secure maritime environment in the region.
