He also ordered the establishment of special pickets on major thoroughfares across the city and enhanced patrolling to curb the dangerous practice.
The CCPO instructed the Dolphin Squad and Police Response Unit teams to keep a close watch on previously identified offenders and ensure immediate legal action in case of any violation. He urged youngsters to refrain from one-wheeling, racing and illegal alterations to motorcycles, warning that such activities endanger not only their own lives but also those of other road users.
Bilal Kamyana further stated that action will also be taken in accordance with the law against individuals seen performing wheelies in videos circulating on social media. He appealed to citizens to report incidents of one-wheeling and racing via the police helpline 15 to enable prompt action.
