LAHORE: December 26 — Lahore Police have intensified enforcement of the Punjab Tenancy Act, arresting 2,722 people and registering 1,785 cases this year across the provincial capital.

According to a police spokesperson, the operation is being carried out under the “Safe Lahore” initiative to enhance security and aid crime prevention. Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana said continuous verification of tenant data is underway to ensure effective monitoring and identify individuals with criminal backgrounds in a timely manner.
He urged homeowners, tenants and property dealers to comply strictly with the Tenancy Act and warned that action would be taken immediately against violators.
