Punjab Assembly passes resolution

LAHORE: The Punjab Assembly has passed a resolution seeking a ban on the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its party. The resolution was presented in the house by PML-N Member of the Provincial Assembly, Tahir Pervez.

The resolution stated that institutions safeguarding Pakistan’s integrity and stability—credited with defending the country against external threats—should be supported, while political or non-political leaders undermining the nation must face action under the law. It emphasized that the PTI founder and leaders should be banned and punished in accordance with Pakistan’s legal framework.
The resolution also paid tribute to the youth serving in national institutions, recognizing their role in maintaining Pakistan’s security and stability. It underscored the importance of protecting the country from activities perceived as threatening its sovereignty and governance.
