LAHORE – Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Public Aid Committee Lahore Convener Qaiser Sharif has filed a petition under the Right to Information (RTI) Act, seeking detailed records of alleged substandard development works carried out under the Lahore Development Program Phase One.

The petition, submitted to Administrator and Deputy Commissioner Lahore Musa Bukhari, requests complete details of all development schemes being implemented at the Union Council level by WASA and Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL), including information on how many schemes have been completed so far.
The applicant has also sought third-party audit reports, quality control inspection records, and details of the organization hired for quality checks of the Lahore Development Program. Copies of reports prepared by Assistant Commissioners in the respective tehsils have been demanded as well.
Furthermore, the petition asks for information on revised PC-1s, altered structure plans, and how such changes have affected project costs. The petitioner has requested full access to all relevant records to ensure transparency and accountability in public development spending.
