LAHORE: On the directions of Punjab’s Minister for Sports, Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar, a special meeting was convened to ensure the successful organization of “Khelta Punjab Pink Games”, the province’s largest women’s sports event.

The meeting was chaired by Director General Sports Punjab, Khizer Afzaal Chaudhry, where detailed discussions were held on event preparations and administrative arrangements. Speaking at the meeting, the DG Sports Punjab stated that “Pink Games” will be the biggest sports platform for female athletes across Punjab. To ensure its successful execution, special administrative committees are being formed. She informed that team trials will be held across all divisions of Punjab in the first week of November, while the official commencement of the games is scheduled for the second week of November.
Afzaal Chaudhry further highlighted that more than 3,000 women athletes from all divisions of Punjab will participate in various sports disciplines during the Pink Games. He emphasized that this landmark event will not only provide women athletes with a vital opportunity to showcase their talent but will also play a pivotal role in promoting sports and boosting the confidence of female players. He added that the Pink Games are being organized under the vision of the Chief Minister of Punjab and the leadership of the Minister for Sports, Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar, to ensure greater opportunities for women to progress in the field of sports. The meeting was also attended by Director Sports Rana Nadeem Anjum, Director Admin Abid Shoukat, and all administrators of Nishtar Park Sports Complex, who reviewed and discussed the arrangements in detail.
