LAHORE: Lahore Police has intensified its search operations across the city in an ongoing effort to uphold peace and security. According to a statement issued today by the Lahore Police spokesman, a total of 8,251 search operations have been conducted so far this year.

During these operations, police have inspected over 288,000 homes, more than 122,000 tenants and over 903,000 individuals. As a result, legal action has been taken against 4,603 individuals. Additionally, 447 individuals have been booked under the Tenancy Act.
The operations have led to the arrest of 1,200 proclaimed offenders, while 929 drug-related cases, 698 cases of illegal weapons possession, and 536 cases related to alcohol consumption have been registered.
Lahore Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana emphasized the department’s commitment to ensuring peace in the provincial capital. He stated that the Punjab Safe Cities Authority’s surveillance network is being utilized to monitor roads, intersections and public spaces continuously.
The CCPO further said that police personnel have received modern training to combat criminal elements effectively. Surveillance and checking continue at entry and exit points of the city, including interprovincial check posts.
Bilal Siddique Kamyana assured the public that Lahore Police is fully committed to protecting the lives and property of its citizens. He urged officers and personnel on security duty to remain vigilant and closely monitor suspicious elements. He also directed that daily search operations be carried out to crack down on lawbreakers effectively.
