SSP Naveed directed officers to strictly follow section-wise rules under the Anti-Rape Act, stressing that any negligence in rape or harassment investigations would not be tolerated. He instructed that officers must reach the crime scene immediately upon receiving reports and collect evidence on the spot.
“Perform your duty as if it’s an act of worship,” SSP Naveed told his team, warning that officers failing to conduct merit-based investigations should be ready for departmental accountability.
He urged the use of all available resources to improve the challan ratio, prepare strong cases based on solid evidence, and ensure the guilty are given the toughest punishments. “There will be zero compromise on merit,” he reiterated, calling for better coordination with the prosecution branch.
Providing timely justice to the public, SSP Naveed said, is the top priority, and officers must always keep their doors open for victims seeking help.
