LAHORE – A fire broke out at the doctors’ hostel of Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) Lahore, leaving several doctors injured from burns. According to Rescue sources, firefighting teams reached the scene immediately after receiving the alert, quickly extinguished the flames, and prevented further damage.

Medical Superintendent Dr. Amir Rafiq Butt, who arrived at the site, said the cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
More than 10 injured doctors, including hospital staff member Muhammad Haris, were shifted to Services Hospital for treatment, where they are receiving medical care.
Rescue officials confirmed that two individuals trapped inside a hostel room were safely evacuated, and cooling operations are currently underway.
