LAHORE – The Pakistan Business Forum Lahore has announced that the Mera Brand Pakistan Expo 2025 will be held on August 14–15 at the Lahore Expo Centre, aiming to kick-start a nationwide movement for economic freedom and growth.

Addressing a press conference, the  organisers Tanveer Ijaz and LCCI SVP Khalid Usman said the initiative draws inspiration from Pakistan’s historic moments of unity and resilience, such as the nuclear tests of May 28, 1998, and the events of May 10, 2025, when the nation stood firmly behind the Pakistan Armed Forces. They emphasised that just as the country has defended its sovereignty, it must now work to achieve economic independence.

Forum representatives noted that 44 per cent of Pakistanis live below the poverty line, while the state remains dependent on IMF and other international loans. They argued that the only sustainable way forward is to build economic strength through collective action and entrepreneurial development.

The expo, organised in collaboration with the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will showcase Pakistani brands and promote entrepreneurship, women’s empowerment, and the halal food industry. The event will also encourage networking between businesses, academia, and young innovators.

Key highlights will include cooking and baking competitions with cash prizes worth millions of rupees, a startup contest for young entrepreneurs offering interest-free microfinance loans worth up to Rs1 million, and a “Knowledge and Learning Lounge” connecting youth with entrepreneurs from 50 industries. A halal food conference and industry-academia dialogues will be held in partnership with Leads University.

Guidance counters will assist participants with business registration, brand launching, IPO procedures, and other official requirements. A “Flag of Economic Freedom” bike rally will start from Minar-e-Pakistan and conclude at the Expo Centre. Discounts, giveaways, and lucky draws will also be offered to encourage consumer support for local brands.

Organisers invited families from across Lahore to attend the event and join the movement to make Pakistan economically strong and self-reliant, declaring: “A secure Pakistan is the need of our 250 million people and of the Muslim world.”
